Losing Fat Fast in a Realistic Way

The one thing you need to know about fat is that if you want to lose it, you need to burn it. It is actually easier to lose fat then you might think. Losing Fat Fast You simply need to use more calories then you take in. That means that if you take in 3000 calories, and you only burn off 100 then any calories your body doesn’t use through a regular day, you will be storing as extra calories. Extra calories mean extra fat. To prevent the build up of fat, you need to start to reduce your calorie intake and increase your exercise which burns off the calories. This will help you reduce body fat.

Nothing Happens Overnight - Losing fat fast can be done, but not fast as in overnight. If you exercise five times a week, you will certainly lose fat faster then if you only exercised one day a week. If you take in fewer calories then you will lose fat faster then if you did not change your diet. But it will not be so quick that one day you are fat, and one day you are thin.  That just isn’t realistic and whoever says that it is, isn’t be honest about it. Weight loss only occurs on an average of 1 to 2 pounds a week. That is the fat you are losing.  If you lose it any quicker then you aren’t doing it in a healthy way.

Speed up your Metabolism - There are ways to speed up your metabolism though so that you can average at the higher end of 2 pounds. First and foremost you want to add exercise to your daily routine. This is the only thing that is going to speed up metabolism. The more active you are the faster your metabolism will be and the faster you will lose weight. Don’t overdo it though and become an exercise junkie. Too much of a good thing can be harmful to you as well.

Eat a Balanced Diet - You also want to be sure to eat a healthy and well balanced diet. You do not want to cut your calories so dramatically that your body doesn’t have enough sustenance to continue moving. Fasting, which is becoming increasingly popular as a way to lose weight, is downright dangerous. If you are looking for a certain amount of calories to take in per day, it is helpful to talk to your doctor because they can give you an amount that is healthy for your body frame and weight.

You want to eat a variety of foods such as vegetables, whole grain products, and fruit. Low-fat dairy products such as low-fat mozzarella or skim milk are also great for you. When it comes to meats you want to stick with the lean meats, poultry, and fish which is great for your body and your heart.  Legumes and nuts are also an excellent choice of high protein foods that your body needs.

Drink a Lot of Water - It is important to drink a lot of water as well. This will help to keep your body hydrated and your liver working to burn off calories. Don’t be afraid to pass on the salt, sugar, saturated fat, and alcohol which can add unneeded calories to your diet. These foods will also help to slow down your metabolism which will increase your body fat over time.

Get Plenty of Rest - Lastly, you want to get plenty of rest. Your body needs sleep to give you the energy to raise your metabolism and lose fat. If you have an active lifestyle you will need at least 8 hours per day of rest to keep your body moving.
